(More customer reviews)I love the Ambrosia lotion and was really disappointed when my tanning salon had discontinued selling it. Apparently, it is not expensive enough for them to profit. I think this is the best tanning lotion for oily skin, since it does not leave a residue and has a light gel-like consistency.
In general, I prefer Ambrosia over the really expensive lotions, since I do not think that there is a significant advantage to the latter. Many such lotions are advertised for preventing aging. It is, however, unrealistic to expect a tanning lotion to do that, since aging is currently thought to be caused by UVA/UVB-induced collagen damage and deep-tissue free radical formation. So to protect your skin from aging, you'd have to wear SPF to a tanning bed. Of course tastes differ in terms of smell, consistency and bronzing effects, which are all valid reasons to opt for the more expensive "top-shelf" lotions, but in general I tend to think that the most one can expect from a tanning lotion is moisture, and one can decelerate aging by moderating the amount of UV exposure. I love this product, because I get all I want for a very reasonable price.
